Along with all the varied opinions, or both the wanted and unwanted advice you'll receive throughout this time in your life, believe that you already have everything you need within you to be able to handle this. Well, there's my bit...Best wishes for you and your girlfriend! On a final note, (and being that we all have one thing in common here loving GI Joe stuff!!) one of the greatest things for me is being able to share GI Joe with my son!!

Its normal to freak out. Having a baby is a huge responsibilty. You are no longer just caring for yourself. Once he/she is born, fatherhood will come naturally and everything will just work out you'll see. You will get advice/opinions from everyone but in the end you gotta do what works for you and your new family. Congrats and im sure you will be a great dad.

A buddy of mine and his common law wife decided to have a baby (actually, she decided, he went along with it). At the time, I asked him if he felt he was ready for it, and he said, "Not really. but then, when are you ever truly ready?" This seems true enough.
Good luck to you man. |

Congratulations. It truly is the toughest job you'll ever love. The only thing I can tell you is that you are never ready, but you manage somehow. I don't think I ever really experienced true love until I had my own children. It's totally unconditional.
And poop jokes are now socially acceptable again, and funny. |
