I am wanting to inventory my toy collection, as we may be moving sometime this year. The majority of my collection is Joes, Star Wars, DC Universe, and Marvel Legends. My original plan was to create an Excel spreadsheet. However, I was wondering if anyone on the Tank had already created one or has any experience with any good toy collector databases already commercially available.
Ultimately, I want to be able to turn this information into QR codes to attach to the underside of the figure stands and vehicles so when I am gone, my wife can easily know what they are. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

I'll be checking this thread out to see what people suggest. I've given up on keeping track of my collection. I'll go through a box and discover stuff I have completely forgotten about. Kind if a good feeling as it's like I just got it all over again. LOL!
For stuff that is MOC or MIB I wonder if there is something where you can simply scan it in. I have an app for my movie collection that works great. Whenever I get a new movie I just scan it in from my phone. It was also easy to go through my entire movie collection and get it scanned in fairly quickly. |

I had started an excel spreadsheet a few years back for my joe collection.. seperated by sets.. I.e. vintage, 25th, poc...etc. it took me a week just to get about half way.. but due to moving and downsizing my collection.. I have not bothered to go back and retry to catalog everything.
I think, once my collection is down to a size I like and can manage, I will go back and edit what I have and try to finish the catalog and just keep up with it when I get new stuff instead of just putting it to the side like I had done. Good luck on yours.

I figure yojoe.com and HissTank databases are good places to start. I also have a toy price guide written by Mark Bellomo which has all the 12" and ARAH listed.
Has anyone used the YoJoe subscription tracking tool? I was wondering if it was only for GI Joe. |

I use the SortItApps website / ios Apps to catalog movies, video games, and comics. I believe there is also an action figure / collectible option on the website as well.

I personally have an Excel Spreadsheet, but lately I have been using Weebly. I set up my spreadsheet on my Weebly website and have access to it on my smartphone. It seems to work for me. Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but 3dJoes has a android phone app for inventoring figures, not sure if it does vehicles/playsets. It's only for G.I. Joe though, but I have the thread below if interested.
