^^^Would you be referring to the Maus Tank with its' 128MM cannon? Because, not only was that German super tank built, some fell into Russian hands. Or, is there a second, larger, supertank that was never built?

Landkreuzer P. 1000 would have made the Maus look like a Volkswagen. It was projected at 1000 metric tons.
The Tiger II was too heavy for the road and field conditions it faced, and certainly grossly underpowered. That doesn't even take into account the amount of ful required to keep them running, utter lack of parts compatability and maintenance difficulties. The Germans and their wonder weapons. For every StG there was some damn fool idea like the Ratte or Maus. |

That is the one. Underpowered, fuel guzzler, unable to go a lot of places, and they were losing the war and most of their resources.

This. Dump the idea of rotary cannons on an MBT. Building a vehicle around a 90 caliber (where the hell do people come up with this stuff?) rotary cannon is slightly less ludicrous, but at least you could feasibly have an ammunition load worth carrying along with all the other stuff need to operate a rotarty gun.
On top of all of that, the guns would be HIGHLY susceptible to damage from incoming fire. Rotary Cannons do not offer the flexibility of a 90mm + main gun and as far as I know are of questionable use against a front-line MBTs with reactive armor. A rotary cannon would limit you to imprecise LOS shots within about 2km using whatever standard ammunition. A modern MBTs gun has access to several types of ordinance depending on the target out to a range of 4km plus. A rotary cannon might make a good primary weapon of an IFV or fast attack platform.
