Bomb threat to Loveland Dollar General (Loveland Magazine) A few months ago the school district across the street had a bomb threat as well, so this is very coincidental... |

Weird. I was at a HEB a year or two ago buying beer and there was a bomb threat, they wouldn't let anybody leave the store. So, I went to the little lawn chair aisle and started drinking my beer I had just bought and lit a cig. About 30 cops swarmed over there. Ha were gonna write me a ticket but I said something like hey if I'm trapped in a grocery store with a bomb threat, may as well not give a flying fluff.
Had a big bomb threat for the schools here in San Antonio a few days ago. Cost 1 million for increased security. O.o

O.o Ha, that's a pretty funny situation, I would've popped open a beer as well and sat down with my fedora down, and the cops probably would crowd me as well, questioning my appearance. Like you said, the cops shouldn't give a fluff unless they actually hear, see (very unlikely) or have dog sniffers to prove I have a bomb. I wasn't at the store at the time, but I was a across the street at a kroger picking up some groceries, and I'm just biking on the sidewalk in front of Dollar General and theres like several cruisers, tons of fire trucks, and the swat team arrived. Boy was traffic hell that day. |

The story sounds like a variation of the scam where someone gets call from a scammer claiming to be the police or the court and demands the person to pay a fine via a Green Dot card over the phone otherwise they will be arrested and go to jail. It seems I read a story like this a few times a year in my local paper. I could say that people should use common sense, but I can understand how some might freak out and not think clearly if they think the police will arrest them. Still, at some point during the process of going out, buying the card, and giving the person on the phone the info you'd think a person would have a "wait a minute...." moment where they start to doubt things.
What's even more outrageous is that as soon as the person pays the money the scammers will immediately hit them up again for more money. |
