My love for the outdoors has returned after a 7 year hiatus. Have gotten back into hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.
Cabela's has recently announced a store coming literally 25 mins away and that's were I'll be, when not in the woods. For anyone curious about hunting, I'd highly recommend predator hunting, namely coyote. In GA, there is no season, it's an all year thing, and there are many farmers and landowners who will actually pay you for every coyote harvested. Night hunting is also permitted, and I'll tell you there is a rush like no other when you are surrounded at night by a pack of coyotes who turn on you and it's either you or them! Love it!

We have an open season on coyotes too. We even have a special night hunting season which is SUPER fun and SUPER exciting! They are a serious problem in many places.

They are quite the nuisance here too. Agreed, that it's fun!

I have been building Lego since I was 3. Here's my flickr set collection that shows my work since around 2007:
magnus_lauglo's photosets on Flickr As you may pick up from the above I'm also very into rock music (as a fan, not musician). I'm a diehard Bruce Springsteen fan, have seen him live almost a hundred times now, and I collect live recordings, etc. I've seen lots of great live music, but no one I've seen comes even close to Springsteen as a live entertainer. Hmm, except maybe the one time I saw James Brown. I read a lot (the benefit of a long commute on the Metro) - mostly a mix of history and fiction, but I'm trying to branch out a little. I don't watch much TV, but am very hooked on Game of Thrones. Otherwise, I am blessed to have a very active social life with friends - nerding out - you might find me playing Settlers of Catan, Chess, computer games, or paintball. |
