Mentioned it in passing to my boss. She said that things didn't look right in her office and she had stuff missing as well. Now everyone is checking for missed items. The only person that goes in her office is the cleaning crew.

As a former security guard for office buildings, I can tell you that nine out of ten times, it is NOT the cleaning crew that steals...

Wow, that is strange. It sucks to have a thief in your work place. Hope you find out who it is.

not going to rip anyone for paying any price for any toy. if you want it and youre happy with the price youve paid...it was worth every penny.
but i will rip the toy companies for high prices when their "gas prices" excuse, which is where this seemed to have started, is, for the most part, gone. Quote:
I deserve the ripping on the 7.00 for a terminator figure .
I probably will start locking up and cleaning my own office. As for why I keep them at work, I spend most of my time here and enjoy seeing stuff besides pt equpment. Every one in marketing has some thing cool at their desk or cubicle and that is how I personalize mine. Which brings me to the whole thing happening. I have been here for 10 years and 2 have been in the same postition. I am friends with almost everyone here and they know that if you want something just ask and I will probably give it to you or make you a deal. I am trying not to be the blame it on the shady cleaning crew because they have been so cool about stuff. They accidentaly knocked some stuff over before and left an apology note. My friends know how I am about my "dolls" and might put them in compromising positions but not take em. Kids are not allowed even to visit due to some of the equipment in the place. Heart patients aren't even allowed so far back. if this was a year ago when finances were a lot better I would have just cussed and laughed it off. Money being tite though I can't rush out and buy more at least until Friday . |

Let's be honest, we collect toys. 10 out of 10 grown males don't collect toys.
Must have been a mishap.

So sorry to hear your stuff got ripped off. Stolen goodies are stolen goodies. Whether they took your favorite piece in the collection or the most worthless one, it takes a special kind of jerk to do something like that.
It kinda reminds me of those jerks that bend the boxes at the stores because they're too broke to buy it. I swear...if I ever catch one of them doing it.......
