When/where/was your first memories of music?
Mine was in 1986, when my Aunt took me to the zoo/hippie bookstore/aquarium. She always took me to a new museum type place on the weekends and during the week we would go to hippy bookstores. But in her delorian/gremlin car she played Michael Jackson and Manhattan Transfer all the way there. I remember her teaching me the lyrics to "Smooth Criminal" and "Dirty Diana. By the age of 5 or 6 I knew most of the lyrics to the Manhattan Transfer songs. There was no Raffi played in my house, even as a child. It was then, I learned to appreciate jazz and pop music. |

Hm, good question. My earliest memory is of going to see Purple Rain (which my parents took me to see two or three times). Legend has it I danced in the aisle every time, I don't remember any of that but I do remember still being able to see Apollonia's boobs between my mom's fingers as she attempted to cover my eyes during the classic Lake Minnetonka scene hah.
It was also the very first cassette tape I ever owned. Somewhere buried in a box at my mom's place is a very tiny sleeveless silkscreened Purple Rain tee she got me that has my name on the front. I used to rock that shirt with pride back in pre-school! |

First real memory was riding in my uncles old ford truck back @1980. I was in charge of the 8 track player and got to listen to old AC DC stuff like Highway to Hell and Fly on the Wall. First cassette I bought was Van Halen 1984, first cd was Megadeth Peace Sells.
First real concert by myself was Sepultura on the chaos ad tour. |

Rocking out to my mom's Queen's "The Game" 8 track. I still love that album. The first cassette I ever bought was Def Leppard's Hysteria, my first CD was Metallica's Black Album, my first concert was Iron Maiden with Testament and Corrosion Of Conformity opening. It was the summer of '92 in San Antonio Texas. A friend of my parents took me and my best friend. It was a 4 hour drive. Good times, good times!!!!
