Sabel was a nightmare of a project, since i paid for most of it myself, the whole movie runs 82 minutes and has certified 5.1 thx sound, original orchestrated score, mexico´s top actors, the budget for the entire movie was $750,000 dollars which is laughable even by Mexico´s standards, and it took me and my team 10 years to make it!!!! mainly because the entire movie was made by an average of 8 people.....and about the cardbacks, yep, i will post them in high res if anybody wants them.
thanks a lot for your 2 cents man! |

thanks a lot for your 2 cents man! You got away with a lot of great things in your film for the budget. The orchestral score is a chunk of change by itself. You even snuck in some great depth in your angles too that look great. I know you saved a ton in the animation department with the small crew, but you defiantly pay for it in time. Irregardless of what you do with the film, it's an incredible achievement. Be proud of it. If you get it pressed on DVD, let me know. I would be glad to own a copy.

The voices seemed good, but it's always tough for my to get inflection and undertone with foreign actors. I don't know if it works the other way from English to another language.

Will do, plans for theatrical opening in Mexico are almost ready, and international Dvd distribution should follow. again, thanks a ton. oh! and if you want to look at some vids from the orchestral rehearse check them at http://www.youtube.com/user/ithraxprod Last edited by BennyBroca; 04-08-2009 at 12:01 AM.. |

Do you guys know that almost nobody uses the famed "vaya con Dios" line in all of Mexico?
curious isn´t it? And answering a question i saw in another forum, sadly yes, Mexico, or at least Mexico city, has become a very dangerous place, a colleage animator got killed yesterday in a mugging,....they only took his wallet, he had two daughters... Sorry to ruin this merry Joe space with this reality shock. I will post more cardbacks soon, and other cobra stuff, thanks hisstank. Last edited by BennyBroca; 04-08-2009 at 12:29 AM.. |
