Back in the mid -late 80s, i seemed to noticed some people my age to a bit older looked taller/few yrs older than they really are. Now looking at some of the kids these days, they look younger/shorter than they really are. I don't know if its the foods they eat or due(for some) to ethnic make up.

Ehh it's a bit o both if ya ask me.
It's probably the hormones and poisons the big companies are puttin in their products to cut corners. Anything to make a buck. Even if it means killin future generations with malnutrition. A lot of scumm bags eh? |

I'm 26, but I look 19.
So there seems to be a "youngining" in the outside looks of the population. |

Oh definately. I'm only 19, but when I look at kids in High school, I almost always think that they're in junior high.
Its absolutely amazing. I see elementary school kids and can't believe they're almost 10. They look like 5 year olds! I don't know exactly whats responsible for it, but I chalk it up to a combination of 2 things - lifestyle and diet. Kids have never had more exposure to chemicals that are either not affecting their growth and development or negatively impacting it. Many of the foods ingested on a regular basis have been shown to slow cell development. Secondly in the realm of diet is over-eating and malnutrition, both of which stunt vertical growth. IN lifestyle, many fewer kids now participate in sports, and most have become couch potatoes. That helps develop a body, and its sorely lacking. |

A lot of kids these days are zombies. They just play video games and mess around on the computer.
I really feel that is important for younglings to get outdoors. I used to LOVE going ouside to play (still do, lol).

My seven year old cousin is already into being "one of the guys' which means hanging out with his dad watching football, watching his dad drink beer, and doing nothing. I wanted to give him a bunch of spiderman comics, but my Mom said, "He's not into that stuff anymore". Kids are growing up too fast. |

True, lol. But I am an adult, and spend tons of time outdoors. Kids need to be encouraged by their parents to get out. I lot of kids I see don't get that.

Kids are dumb. They are going to be kicking themselves later for trying to grow up too fast.
