Man, you're a diverse photographer! I'm pretty useless at anything other than toys.

Continuing with this themeā¦
Here's a photo from November 27th: The Year is 1988 by Geek Creek, on Flickr And here's the same setting today: Specifically, hereabouts is where I photographed the Sigma 6 kitbash seen above: You can see hints of snow in the backdrop of the Sigma portrait, but obviously it's a different place altogether just a week or so later, added to which it's so icy that there's no way I can possibly access the stream to utilize it as a close-up backdrop now. |

Heh-heh, I saw your comment but hadn't noticed who'd posted it; I'd intended to reply, "I'm going to be photographing a badass custom from iDzBowl".
Too funny. |

Good and bad..,weather is pretty much a constant here...
I've been dying to get outside to my favorite spot in the woods to take pictures of my CCN's with some frost on the ground..but it melts sooo fast, and I'm always in a hurry in the morning. Monte, what do you do before you take shots? as in prepping the scene. one of my pet peeves in people's pics are leaves,or grass..totally destroys the scale perspective to see an oak leaf as big as the figure next to it...I started spending time removing leaves and thinking of what's all in the background, especially man made items. |

Like you, Blazer, I remove any leaves and such (although there were a few in the water in the Sigma portrait above and I decided to leave them because the water was too cold).
I won't photograph a figure against tall grass either; it never looks like a jungle, it just looks like a toy in tall grass. Luckily, most of my settings are ready-made for toy photos. |
