I had to look it up as soon as you mentioned it, I thought it was a peircing on the love button Anywho, get the tat, but make sure you are getting what you want, not what the artist wants, then send me a pic of it It took me 38 years to get my first tat and I like lookin at it, hopefully I will like it in 30 years still. You can always get the toys later, just dont wait too long for em.

If it makes ya happy, then go for it. I wil be getting my first ink very shortly.
It is all about expressing you who are. Understand that your ink is with you forever. You can always get the toys.

How do you express yourself? You cannot express yourself unless you have a tattoo

In all seriousness I can see valid points in both schools of thought. To an extent I agree with some of the peoples opinions who do not have or are against tattoos and I respect that, to each their own. I don't take any offense at all even when people say that it locks you into or out of certain types of professions. I respectfully disagree, but do not take any offense to that belief. I'm actually a perfect example of that...I'm not sure what all I'm allowed to say in terms of my personal life, but I work in the automotive industry and everytime I tell someone where I work they think "oh a car dealership" and I just chuckle but NO...I work for the corporate office, headquarters whatever you want to call it and like it was said before it's nothing a long sleeve shirt won't cover up. I do agree that getting tattoos on your neck or hands does limit you, but I have to sit through plenty of meetings with directors and managers and some of them have no clue I have any tattoos and others (in the same meetings) I play basketball with afterwork and they know I have tats. The bottome line is when you come to work, YOU COME TO WORK! The powers that be will take notice of that and your work ethic will standout more than any tattoo might! IMO

I have full sleeves, my back, across my chest, left side of my neck, and my right calf tattooed. I've never had a problem getting a job despite my apearance. In my line of work I talk to rich yuppie douchebags all day. They know I'm real good at what I do, I work hard, and produce quality results. Whatever they may think about me to begin with is quickly dropped. It's all about how you carry yourself. People may judge you right away on appearance, but a brief conversation can change that. It still cracks me up that in this day and age people are still judged as a thug because they have some art on them. The old saying "your body's a temple", come on, you ever seen a blank temple? The only advice when getting any tattoo, make sure it has some meaning to it. I don't see my tats as anything to regret simply because they are memories, thing's that played an imporant role in shaping me and my life. As long as it's important to you, and it's something you really want. The only tats I dont like are gang related or names of people you date. Those things may change and may be regretable.
