Me and my dad always had a deep connection. When he had his stroke 13 years ago, my mother came and woke me up. The first thing out of my mouth was "God damnit, He had a Stroke" My mom started crying. Then three years ago he past away. It was hard to see him go. The night he passed as I was asleep I woke up to the feeling of my head being rubbed, the kind of rub that dads give when hes proud of you. I looked to my side at my wife who was sound asleep and a feeling of ease, peace and that everything was going to be ok came over me. For some reason now evertime I see a butterfly the same kind of peace comes over me.

Moved to Portland, OR with a band. We managed to score a house to rent that had a basement and was big enough to set up our gear. On the first night in the house, we had finally gotten our TV set up when there was a huge noise outside (like somebody ran by and hit the wall with a bat) We ran out and there was nobody there. (and by we I mean myself, the drummer, his girlfriend, the singer, the guitarist, and 2 other people that came along to help us move) We tried to duplicate that sound the next day. We all took turns smacking the house as hard as we could (within reason without damaging the house) but could not come close. (also there was no damage outside either) The other odd thing was that we all agreed on the location of the sound and it was pretty close to ceiling height. We figured that if it was somebody that smacked the house, they would have had to have been over 7 feet tall. One afternoon, we were all in the living room except for our drummer. He came in and said 'what?'... 'who called me'... We said, 'shut up, don't try and pull that crap'. But he insisted that he heard someone very distinctly call his name. (nobody did) From day one in the house, I locked my door at night because our singer was notorious for just walking in to a room without knocking etc... (and I didn't need him stealing anything from me...if you knew him then you'd understand) But from day one, at night while I laid in bed I could hear the door rattling back and forth. It was as though someone had a hold of the handle and was pushing the door forward and backward. I chalked it up to the wind. Then one day I was working on a few bass lines and noticed the writing on the wall. It was childlike. Pictures of spiders and attempts at words. Seems like it was spanish (sort of) I think the only word we could make out was the word for Fire. It was in a few colors. I asked everybody that was in the house (which was even more at this point... I think 5 more people moved in...rent was like 80 bucks...sweeeeeeet) Nobody knew anything about it. We didn't have anything like colored pencils or crayons or whatever that could have even done it. It wasn't there when we moved in. But it was there from that day forward. Then there was the day that I was home alone and heard my name plain as day. And when I went to the living room where it sounded like it came from... nobody was there. That was when I got really freaked out and left for a few hours. I tried to not let that stuff affect me the remainder of the time that we lived there. It was only a few more months and then we were gone. And no, nothing followed any of us. Just some pretty crazy stuff. And we actually had a no drinking or drugs in the house rule in case anyone was wondering. So nobody was drunk or high. Like I said before, you can dismiss it all you want, but when it happens to you (or a whole group) you change your tune. |

Every night i'm home, I rub my youngest boys head and whisper "daddy loves you!" while he sleeps. I guess I hope subconsciously he hears me. I'd do that to my 15 year old but he'd probably wake up and say " Like whuddya doin dad? gaw" You really do only have'm for such a short time. It's gonna suck being an empty nester someday!

For the record, I have never smoked anything in my life. I only drink maybe 1 or 2 beers at parties. Yeah, I'm pretty much a dork. Besides, all my experiences happened during my childhood. By the time I turned 21 I never spent a whole lot of time in my grandmother's home. And again, I don't drink much at all, and I never get drunk.
Anyway, I won't go into all the weird things my family experienced in my grandma's house. When I was around 8 or 9 I went up to the upstairs loft to get my mom's purse as we were about to leave. As I walked up the stairs and entered the room, I saw a white ghostly person kind of like a white mist or fog in the shape of person with no legs, float from one side of the couch to the other. I ran down as fast as I could and asked about 3 of my cousins to go up with me to get the purse. The second time up there we didn't see anything. After seeing that ghost, I never doubted anyone again about seeing things. The funny thing is it changes your life in a way because now you start to think about things beyond our reality. If ghosts are real, then what of God? What happens to us after we die? Makes you think about all kinds of stuff. |

I was just thinking, all those repacks might not have been done by collectors returning stuff. It might be the spirits at TRU!
