I desperately miss those awesome 75 cent comic books. Even as an adult, I think it is absurd to pay $3 for a comic book. Inflation hasn't gone up 400% since 1987, so that ain't the only cause. Seriously, who needs all this fancy non-flammable, shiny paper and whatnot?

Or at a Flea Market where you could get an entire collection for $15 to $25 tops. Those where the gravy days.

Guys could have done it, they just didn't want too. I charged $4.00 an hour and back in the 80's the going rate started at $5.00. So i always had parents who wanted my help.

My parents never paid me, but all the people on my block paid me to watch their kids while they went out. I was always happy to help and the money was great.

LOL... I remember Hills. Used to love that place when I was a kid. I used to get Joes there and NES games. I still drive by the Hills building I used to frequent as a kid and they've turned it into a Victoria Secret headquarters. It's kind of strange-- RIP Hills.
