It's a piece of flyover country. What the hell else is there to do?
Besides, as some have noted, meth.

I think I've found my answer. Was just out for a visit last weekend and it dawned on me just how many Targets there are in the Cleveland area. One in every town it seems like.
Gonna chalk this up to "go with what you know" theory- if Joes are what you know (what's available to you) then that's what you buy/sell/trade. My girl's parents live in North Olmsted, OH and there is a Target, a WalMart & a TRU within 5 minutes of their house. They all seem pretty well stocked (except WalMart). Here in Delaware there is only 1 Target in the whole state! And they never get anything. 2 WalMarts within reasonable driving distance- again no stock. & a TRU- but once again, no stock.
I use to live in DE and the problem you're probably facing is that there are several comic/collector stores in those areas. One is (if they are still around) Captain Blue Hen comics. I beat the owner to TRU one night and had scored a ton of Star Wars stuff back in the 90's. As far as Ohio goes...it's an experience. |

Because I live here and Lord above knows that I cannot live in an area where I can buy off of Craigslist without 2,000 other individuals living close by to pick it up before me. Same goes for yard sales, public auctions, thrift stores, Wal-Mart, Meijer, etc, etc...

I'd go with the meth idea but frankly that would mean there's a lot more collectors here in Florida

No Joes, Star Wars, or any other toylines one might find at TRU in evidence; just DC direct and a few other collector oriented toylines, statues, and collectibles (props, etc). Though I believe the ownership has changed in the past couplea years, from the original owners to some of his employees...may have shifted focus.
