Can't wait for the snow to all be gone so I can enjoy my '97 F-150 (faux Lightning). After the Ste. Ignace car show in June it sat almost the rest of the Summer in the garage with the interior all ripped apart because I was painting it. All of the interior plastic has been sanded down primed, painted and cleared. I used House of Kolor Pearl Tru Blue, Pearl Black & Pearl Sno White. I even tore apart my radar detector and painted that Pearl Tru Blue to match. 4.6L V8 with a supercharger running 7 lbs. boost, Sniper tuning software, Performance Distributers Screamin' Demon coil packs and Livewires Sparkplug wires connected to Zex Nitrous performance sparkplugs. Ford Racing 90mm MAF with cold-air intake. Custom dual exhaust minus the cats with an X-pipe and dual Pypes mufflers. Liquid metel 22" black/mirror wheels with Nitto low profile tires. Full DVD/Audio system w/in-dash DVD/moniter and dual 9" visor moniters. I didn't even get to enjoy my new Cobra-R bumper that just got finished and put on like 2 weeks before Ste. Ignace 2008. 1st pic is side shot on road by camp, graphics on sides have been removed now too. 2nd pic is with new bumper and Lightning grille shell/grille on before I put the lights in the outer holes on the bottom. Both the front and back Ford ovals have custom emblems styled the same as the originals, but black background with silver lettering that says fast in the same style script as the Ford ones.

What are you're thoughts on Ford going the way of the dinosaur?

I think unless the big 3 lower their greedy prices and don't make such a profit off of the cars/vans/trucks they make they are all going to be ancient dust and newbies like the Smart car will be king.

In this economy with people loosing their jobs and more, how can they expect the consumers to buy new at the prices they want? I'd love to go and buy a new Lamborghini or Ferrari anyday and I don't think they will be hurt as much as the big 3 because the person who buys that kind of car is not affected as much as the average joe(no pun intended), at least not as soon anyway.

GM and Chrysler are going down the tubes, Ford isn't. Ford never begged for a bailout but they said it 'wouldnt hurt' If you had seen their new lineup over the next few years you would agree with me....they have a lot of cash cows up their sleeves just wait....

Ford asked for over 5 billion this week to stay afloat.

I haven't heard anything about this, and I work for them =P And if it is true, Im not worried about it. I live next to a Chevy dealership, and it's a ghost town. I work for a Ford dealership, and Ford sales were up 18% over any other local dealer, with plenty of appealing product on it's way. GM and Chrysler will die a slow painful death, and while I'm not a fan, it will be sad to see a staple of Americana pass on. We're not going anywhere.
