what i hate most is getting emails that say, sorry we hired someone else....good luck though!
i guess that is better than no response at all from employers but i cant believe that I cant get hired when some of the people i see working at stores or where ever look like the dont give two shits about anything I am kinda stuck in limbo. I have about 8 years experience in my job, and about 15 years in construction altogether. Considering, I am in the middle of the bunch. There are alot more people who have a lot more experience than I do and on the same token, there's the people who have less experience that get paid a lot less than I do. So companies hiring might look into the people that are either above me or below me.

Jesus. After hearing these stories I think I'm going to work twice as hard to tomorrow. It's funny. You find a "dream" job something you always wanted to do and you still find reasons not to like it just because it's still a job. I'm feeling some regret now tankers.

You said it bro.
If zoo work ever dries up I have a bunch of friends that work at the San Fran Zoo and a few animal wrangler's here in LA that work for my boy Jarod Miller.

i clean out public porto-pots. they tell me i'm due for a raise and will be issued a brush and gloves in 2 years. which is a relief, my hands are starting to turn a permanent blue. for side work, i generally rely on head cheese mashing at the local slaughterhouse. basically, day to day stuff everyone does, right?

My line of work is somewhat recession proof. My company, however isn't recession proof. It's like saying people will always need cars! But people won't always need a 50,000 car. We're not a discount retailer, in fact we're probably the most expensive optical chain in the US. However, some woman bought a $550 frame the other day...
