My advice to everybody who's working...do everything to try to hold on to your job. Be the best employee you can be. Don't call in sick because you are hung over, don't over sleep, don't stay out 1 minute longer than you are allowed for lunch. Take responsibility for your actions. Most importantly, respect your boss (even if he or she is a douche bag). Believe me, a little respect goes a long way.

i clean out public porto-pots. they tell me i'm due for a raise and will be issued a brush and gloves in 2 years. which is a relief, my hands are starting to turn a permanent blue. for side work, i generally rely on head cheese mashing at the local slaughterhouse. basically, day to day stuff everyone does, right?

Skatez, why don't you work for a Country Club or something? Those places are always busy this time of year. I have friends who've done that. Also, UPS just took on many of the domestic DHL contracts.

I worked the graveyard shift at a Chevron/FoodMart for the last couple years, but that burned me out. So I quit, moved back in with my mommy and now am a full time college student majoring in Psychology. Oh yeah, my mommy gives me an allowance, hahahahaha hahahahahaha

Camera man for events, commercials, promotions, etc.
And writer, movie reviews, articles, fiction, not the kind of writer that sits around as a hobby wishing he were to get paid. I actually get paid to do it. It's a tough gig. |

I'm a dancer/bartender Friday-Sunday
I also do advertising for a comic book shop and sell my art. From April to October I do food service for a company in San Francisco. That job sucks, we're overpaid McDonalds employees. I was initially a biology major, then an engineering major. But I never finished college. |
