OK... Time to play the swami. Put your best sports commentator voice on and give us an ESPN style run down of what the Super Bowl teams need to do to win and what you predict the score will be. Let's see who can come closest to predicting the real outcome!!!
I'll go first. Kurt Warner has got the Super Bowl experience but the organization does not. They will need Edgerin James to run for at least 100 yards to give them ball control and Kurt Warner will have to hit Bollin and Fitzgerald for at least 3 touchdowns if they are expected to beat the Steelers. Look for Ben Roethlisberger to match Kurt Warners throwing percentage as he scrambles out of the pocket and spreads that defense. This will just make it all too easy for Willie Parker to run all over the field. They may come pretty close in offensive production but that's where the difference comes in. DEFENSE!!! That Steelers defense is good for a TD and at least 3-4 drive killers. Look for Pittsburgh to come out on top in a close one 27-24. It's one for the OTHER thumb!!!

The only thing that scares me is Whisenhunt and Grimm knowing the Steelers so well.
Even with that being said I still think the Steelers will win. Ben is on fire right now and so is Holmes and that is a dangerous combo for AZ to try and stop. Parker will be able to run on the Cards defense and will easily get over 100 yards. Our defense will hold James to under 40 yards. With Pittsburgh's defense as a whole AZ is going to be hit from every side and angle, I mean our D is insane we have talent in every part of the D from Polamalu, Harrison, Woodley, Farrior, Smith, Taylor, etc. etc. the defense is just stacked. Hell even our kicker Jeff Reed is great he is clutch. Our week link is our crappy (replacement) punter Berger. I wish Sepulveda could have come back for the playoffs from his injury. I guarantee that come game time that stadium will look like Heinz Field with all the Steelers fans there wearing their black and gold and waving the Terrible towel. It will be like playing in Pittsburgh, but with warmer weather So in closing the best football dynasty will be the 1st to six. Last edited by SNAKE EYES; 01-21-2009 at 01:39 AM.. |

I predict the Patriots would have won if Tom Brady didn't get hurt and next year you're all SCREWED!

Steelers 28
Cardinals 24 If P burg can contain Fitzgerald then it will be a long day. But it does concern me that two of the coaching staff were Steelers. The reality is that P burg executes almost ALL the time. Mike Tomlin is a great coach and he will have them ready to play. Arizona's D is pretty good but they will HAVE to stop the run to have a chance because the O line on P burg is a bit suspect. Someone will get knocked out this game. |

Steelers 34
Cards 17 Pittsburgh's D will neutralize the Cards O but I don't think that the Cards D will be able to stop Ben, Willie, Hines, Miller, AND Holmes. Someone on Pittsburgh's offense will come up big. |
