TURTLE POWER... Who's getting some.. damn all these 25th anniversarys of these toy lines make me feel old.. GI JOE was last year or 2007 wasnt it.. TMNT and Transformers this year.. Gripes I'll be 29 in a few weeks.. this craps almost as old as I am.. oh well.. Target started putting price tags up on the new reset of the 25th TMNT.. web research shows comic pack type deals with a single turtle.. this should be fun!! |

I might pick these up, depending on the price. I was a huge TMNT geek as a kid, but they haven't aged nearly as well as Joe.

Saw these guys this morning but didnt bite because of the $8.99 pricetag. They only had six figures out, all 4 turtles and dups of Leo and Raph, didnt see any of the other guys that are shown on the back of the card. They are cool but Im waiting for a sale/price drop to pick these guys up since I already have the NECA and Movie guys, these are just a step backwards.

Someone needs to make TMNT in the 4" scale, seeing that everything(mostly)seems to be heading in that direction anyway.
Oh well, maybe in another 5-10 years. |

What are you talking about? How can TMNT be 25 years old? Transformers came out in '84, TMNT came out in the early 90s. WTF? Last edited by B.A.T.; 01-05-2009 at 05:23 PM.. |

Kids didn't hear about the turtles until the 90's. Eastmen and Laird had a comic (with an older audience) out long before they let Archie take a crack at it.

Not necessarily true, Weasel. I was 6 and full on into it when the cartoon came out, as were my schoolmates. It just got effin' huge in the early 90's.
