I just thought it was funny to see the exact same complaints in 2011 as there were in 2007.

My issues with HTS are pretty simple...its made to fail.
I mean in a day and age when Joe especially is having issues maintaining a brick and mortar presence, online sales should be a life blood for the line. The site itself is poorly stocked, barely maintained, and as shown by the day SDCC exclusives go up and the site crashes YEARLY clearly under prepared. And what makes me laugh is the practical lack of interest Hasbro shows in the site...every single year at least one wave from both Transformers and G.I. Joe becomes a lost ghost wave, that end up at discounted prices at secondary retailers....why? I mean don't get me wrong I love getting a Voyager size TF for $10 at Marshells and Polar Sharcs at ROSS for $8, but isn't Hasbro in the business of making money? I gotta imagine they sell these things to secondary retailers not necessarily for a loss, but no where near the profit they COULD get by making them exclusives to HTS at full price. I don't know it just seems like HTS was made to fail. Like it was a hot idea when they thought of it (or more likely said well everyone else has a site and followed suit) and then like a spoiled child quickly lost interest in their new toy. Which seems to be the commitment Hasbro has been giving almost anything these days...give it a few months, and then its something new. I feel like Hasbro is James Woods in Family Guy and each new wave is a piece of candy. Oh...Resulte...oh ROC...oh POC...oh Renegades...oh 30th... |

HTS IS a waste.
No need to wonder why someone didn't get a Camshaft or Long Range all that long ago. Just like there is little point in assuming that anyone got a 30th Cobra Viper, SW Logray or what ever the hell else they were looking for when they idiotically typed the address into the bar. They sell graded toys for 60 bucks! Why pretend they aren't taking a page out of the book written by on-line scalpers like BBTS or Brians Toys? |
