But if I bought 4 PCs that would be a lot of stuff to have to bring to the dump next year.

So what you're saying is that you wish there were more ignorant meatheads using macs?
Actually I drive a 1 ton chevy dualie and frame houses in -15°F weather, drink cold black coffee and swear in front of my mother. I'm also skinny, have a VW Golf diesel, read cookbooks and use a mac. Which category of steroetype would you like me to fit under? |

As I said , I am starting a white trash mac users club, I am the president, perhaps you could join. The chevy and carpentry are OK, but you will have to sell the VW ( and don't tell anyone about the cookbooks!). LOL ( P.S I really am just kidding).

Also, how many people out there with an Ipod that have more than 20 or 30 songs on them? I swear, I made my daughter wait until she was 13 to get one, but only because she is a music junky like me. My daughter and I filled our 80G Ipods, I cannot stand people who buy them " just to say they have one". LOL
Also, I love apple but the Iphone? Give me a break, 600 dollars ( even 400 is too much) plus in Connecticut AT&T sucks!!! Also, I was using a friends at work to bid on ebay and the screen in nightmarishly small and hard to see ( zoom is a pain in the rear) plus many of the people tell me the more features they have, the shorter the batery life. |

my dad bought an ipod and he's had the same damn 5 cd's in his truck for the last 10 years.
I definitely have a love/hate relationship with apple. It's the craftsmanship that keeps me from letting stories like this sink in. Why Apple Won't Allow Adobe Flash on iPhone - Wikileaks |

All companies suck but at least apple makes a computer designed to last more than a year! Thats the only reason I use them!

I have a PC laptop that’s 5+ years old and I use it as my main laptop (running Linux), it works just fine as an internet / office machine, and does exactly what I need it to do. I will say it is true that I do upgrade my main desktop PC often, but that’s because I game on it – and if you game on a PC you must upgrade often. If you don’t game and are an average user, I see no reason that a newly purchased Mac or PCs usable lifespan will not be close to equal. If you are an average user that is going to use your PC or Mac for email, web, light office, some light photo editing, other “normal” tasks, etc, etc. There is no reason a system bought today will not last you 2-4 years or possibly more. I see people that prove that point every week. If you are a “power user” who needs (or wants) to run the latest apps at the highest speeds, like to have all the newest innovations and technology, wants bragging rights, or whatever; then you’ll probably be upgrading your systems often be they mac or win. I base the above on the fact that I work on computers for small business and home clients and have done so for years (working on all operating systems) and most systems I work on are at least a couple years old, most older then that. Some windows systems I’ve worked on recently had to be 8-10 or more years old and were still the owners main system(s) (were talking windows 95 and 98 machines) and they seemed to be serving their users just fine Hell last year, no shit, I fixed a persons windows 3.1 system- I told them they should upgrade to a new sys, and the guys said “Why? This does everything I need it to do, and I’m used to it” that blew my mind. But it happened |
