In my Joeverse, the SW Galaxy and the Milky Way have merged. The timeline goes like this: the first Jedi scouting party, which included Yoda and Aayla Secura, came to the Earth during the stone age. Over time, the Jedi Order influenced the Egyptian, Greek, Roman, English, Spanish, Arab, African and Asian Civilisations over the first 12000 years that humanity existed here before dieing out under mysterious circumstances. In the late 20th Century, the GI Joe Pilot Transco of the Steel Brigade had engaged in a dog fight over Buenos Aires, Argentina with a squadron of Cobra's best AVACs. Somehow, a time portal opened up and sent his Ghost Striker X-16 and the nearest Firebat back to the Stone Age. They crash landed in the Rain Forest where they encountered a mysterious Wookie Jedi, who sensed that the Force was strong in Transco. He also sensed the Dark Side in the AVAC pilot and chased him with his lightsabre. The AVAC pilot ended up as a Sith Apprentace trained under Sidious. Transco ended up training under Yoda and then Aayla Secura. He joined the Rebellion against the Empire. During the battle of Yavin, a time portal opened up and sent Transco and the AVAC pilot, now known as Darth Viperious, back to their own time. Yoda had secretly tasked Transco with reestablishing the Jedi Order on Earth.
The places I am considering for the Jedi Temple are as follows: 1. Houston, TX, USA: The traditional home of an international and intergalatic community and Johnson Space Centre as well as being a major hub of national and international buisiness and the USA's third most populated city, H-Town would make an ideal location. 2. Cape Canaveral, FL, USA: A traditional place for Terrans to launch their space adventures, it would provide a convenient place for the visiting Jedi to embark to Corascaunt or disembark to explore Earth. 3. Almaty, Former Kazak SSR: The City of Apples, as the traditional launching spot for Cosmunauts and Soviet Satilites, as well as a booming International and intergalactic communities, Almaty would be an excellant choice. 4. Mayan Ruins, A Guatamalian Rainforest, South America: The remote region would hide the Jedi Temple from intruders, while Earth's Jedi Council met and the younglings trained inside. 5. Manhattan, NYC: The biggest hub of National and international buisiness in North America as well as being the most populated and diverse city in the USA, the Big Apple would give the Jedi the chance to mingle with people of all stripes. 6. Rome, Italia: Home of the Vatican and a diverse population, Rome would give the Jedi an oppertunity for ideas exchange. 7. Jerusalem, Israel: The focal point of three major Earth faiths, Jerusalem would give the Jedi the oppertunity to exchange religious ideas with Jews, Christians and Muslims. 8. Cairo, Egypt: Home to the Pyramids as well as one of the Earth's most ancient civilisations, this location would give the Jedi a chance to gain insight into the history of the world. 9. Tokyo, Japan: The Earth's most populated city as well as an international buisiness hub, Tokyo would provide the Jedi with the chance to gain insight into global buisiness. These are the places I am considering, but I have yet to decide. Which would you pick?

The FBI and the ATF would be knocking on that "jedi cult's" door too quick if it was in the USA.
I would pick some uncharted island in the pacific
