There's a man with a mohawk in mission control.
Finally, the NASA channel is doing something. no more twenty year old footage of space shuttles being towed around on blacktop. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 08-06-2012 at 01:19 AM.. |

I think they are gonna use like booster rockets to slow down this time upon entry... like how Iron Man does it. Last time they just used the air bag thing in which it crashed and bounced around a lot. LOL.

I love the Mohawk guy. It is great seeing a Nasa member with-out a comb over.

They are about to enter the Atmosphere. This could be very cool. I want this to work. They can use the same tech on Europa.

There's a group of people sitting off to the left of mission control watching mission control on a monitor screen. I mean, I can look through the window and see them watching mission control, why are they not just turning their heads 90 degrees and watching it in real life.
Edit: It appears there are stars shaved into Mohawk's head too. And it appears they've made it over the first hurdle. |

I think the long haired guy was in charge of the parachutes. He got awful excited about them working.

What sucks is that even with all this, even landing a vehicle successfully on the surface of another planet, no one's going to know anyone in that rooms name outside of the other people in that room.

Yep, the unsung hero's are always forgot. Unless a person stands out so much that the history books record their names, they are all just footnotes. That is sad. It took 8 years from start to now for this event to occur. This is our best chance to finally answer some of the questions we have been asking about Mars. Is there life, Was there life, was there water, is there still water on Mars and where did the water go? This is an exciting event.
