This does break my heart. What some people do to save a few bucks. No life is worth a damn tv or anything for that matter. There is a reason for the season and this is NOT it.

That should be the store managers job to open the doors that day(with police present), not a part timers job.
If WM upper management were to unlock the doors they'd have made sure this wouldn't happen, sad. My Wal-Mart had about 15- 20 people shopping when I got there shortly after opening LOL ! |

Oh and I was the one who opened the doors. I am a big boy so I can intimidate someone if necessary. I never would let an associate do this, maybe an assistant but not an hourly worker.

I wonder if anyone remotely felt sorry for what they did. I mean people rushed into a damn store, trampled a guy and killed him. Then what happens, they close the store immediately. So what now... did those people go home and say "Sorry kids, you didn't get you 42" HDTV with Rock Band 2 this year because I was involved with 100 more people in killing a WalMart employee!"? I dare say this could only happen due to greed. And what the hell are you doing there on Thursday?? Go home be with your family and friends and enjoy that one day and screw the stores. There is no sense whatsoever in camping out over night for some 5.00 movies, a TV, or anything in that damn store. If your crazy enough to do that crap then do it, but dammit don't kill the man who opens the doors!! Our Walmarts in Waco do it right... they are open almost all day if not all day. The doors are open during the night but they shut down all the registers after a certain time for the sale. If people want to get there at 4:00 AM and get the deals, then fine... but you can't pay for them until 6:00 when the registers open. AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT THEY DID LAST YEAR... I wasn't there this year to witness this, but no body died so I guess it was ok this year.

I swear people are savages. The animals that came to my theater made such a mess of the place. Nothing compared to what happened to that poor guy.
