I know there are several jobs that I wouldn't want to work and would be unhappy doing them all the time

Add me to the list, been in the car biz for almost 20 years now, this is by FAR the WORST place I have ever worked. I can't find another job doing what I do though, and what I WANT to do, and I also plan on moving in a year or two also, so looks like I am stuck for the time being. :(
To the OP - what is it that you are stuck doing for a few weeks? At least you get to tell them to F - off at that point. Wish I could say that, I'll need this place to get into where I want to go. :( |

I actually like my job 90% of the time.
At least what I do. Some of the people I deal with only frustrates me and complicates my job. I hate inefficiency, and there's a good deal of it with my line of work. The commute sucks, and I'd rather sleep til 10 and work later, due to my body's clock. But I am also doing something that I wanted to do since childhood, although I didn't quite know what it was called at the time. An adult's translation of it, I'd guess. |

I still remember cleaning up at night at a bar that I used to bounce at that was always fun, the money was really good and action was fast and furious at times but the smell could be pretty rank

I sell doors and windows and trim to people at Menards. I'm part of the millwork department. Most days, there isn't much to do, since retail has been slow lately. There's only so much you can do to straighten up a department before you're out of things to do. Some days I work in the paint department, which is a little bit busier. As far as retail jobs go, it pays well, but for my age and education I could be doing a lot better. Unfortunately, everything I apply for either needs X years of experience or top secret government clearance.
I went to school for photography. I just had an interview for an aerial mapping business yesterday, so we'll see how it goes. All in all, I'm glad I have something that gives me a paycheck. There're some parts of this country where pickins are slimmer. Last edited by UMAN; 11-19-2008 at 04:29 PM.. |

Do you think pornstars ever get sick of making films? Do you think anyone has ever called in sick because he just couldn't bare to go to work that day?

I can picture the scene from Platoon when Taylor, Mother, and the surfer have to clean the John by burning that stuff. Man that would be nasty as all get out
