Hello
This off-topic but I figured i would ask for opinions. i am trying to determine which e-book reader to purchase. i am not sure how the publish or what other features are available. i do know, the others guys deployed seem to use various readers. I typically read history books, fiction based in the colonial America time frame, nautical themes, James Rollin's, how-to type books, woodworking and occasionally political books. Thanks in advance |

iPad 3. It does the same as the others, plus more.
Here's a decent link, comparing the 3: iPad vs Kindle vs Nook |

I got the Kindel Fire since it came out. I use it more then my Ipad. Due to the fact its a little smaller and easier to carry around.

In before the move
I have been looking at either getting my wife the Ipad 2 she dosent need the Ipad 3 or the kindle fire. The most important thing I need to think about is how much I'm going to play with it. |

I got my wife the iPad 2 for Christmas for her school. It actually worked out great, she was able to put all her textbooks on it and the would allow her to bring it in the OR for reference sometimes ( she doesn't scrub in, so it was allowed). Great for when we travel, and just fun. Also, for the same Xmas I won a Kindle Fire in the raffle we have at our holiday party. I love them both, but the Kindle doesn't have as large a display or as much processing speed. Not to mention fewer applications. The other nice thing about the Kindle is the Prime membership, which allows you to download movies, shows, eBooks, etc. Not to mention free priority shipping with anything bought at Amazon.

I like the Kindle Fire. I use it for most of my Web browsing.
