Recently I was deleting a lot of old files out my computer and I found a teaser video for Arnold Schwarzenegger's cartoon series "The Govenator". It was horrible, and it was supposed to be part of a cartoon/comic book line. Fortunately it was cancelled just after the housekeeper/love child scandal broke. Which made me wonder what happens to these failed, for lack of a better word, projects? Toys are repainted and resold(Sometimes overseas), comics are either recycled or sold in bulk to dollar-type stores(I saw some Winx Club comics in one store.), but what happens to the cartoons? Are they redubbed and sold to other countries(like the Dumb and Dumber and Jumanji cartoons) or stored for future use? What do you think happens?

They just get dropped, lost in the ether. We're lucky that most stuff ends up on Youtube these days, there are some things that are gone. I've seen screen grabs from an Aliens animated series pilot episode, but Kenner pulled the plug on it. I'm sure there are copies of it out there somewhere. I'm also sure it would be shite. Still, I'd like to see it!

I would like to see Aliens TAS as well, especially if it were based off Kenner's toyline. I would also like to see the Governator, but I don't know what happens to shows like that when they pull the plug on them.

Very true. the cartoon versions of Starship Troopers, Swamp Thing, and The Mask haven't been aired for years and will not ever likely be released on dvd.
