Alfredo Aceves has been named closer of the Red Sox until Bailey comes back. I thought they would've used Melancon in that spot since he was the Astros closer last year and did pretty good.

I love baseball, last year's end of the regular season and the Cardinals' World Series comeback were so much fun to watch. I don't really root for any team though... except maybe the Braves by default since I grew up rooting for them, but Chipper Jones is the only Brave left that I even recognize (if he's still there, lol).
Oh... and Miami's new stadium is kinda hideous IMO. LOL.

Oh! I also kinda like the Dodgers... but only because over here we catch FSW which airs the Dodgers and Angels home games, so I always have the ballgame on tv in the background. TBS used to air a bunch of Braves games, so that's why I rooted for them growing up, but TBS stopped a few years ago, so I kinda stopped following them.
Chipper Jones was my fav player when I was in high school and still collecting baseball cards... I can't believe he is still playing ball and is still with the same team. LOL.

I'm so excited for the baseball season, its my favorite sport. I'm a big Chicago Cubs fan. While I will root for them this year, its a rebuilding year for them. I just hope some of the young guys get a chance to play this year. Been saying it for over 30years but Lets Go Cubs!!!

Anybody seen Yu Darvish pitch yet? Is he the real deal? I can't believe Texas paid that much to get him (both exclusive negotiating rights fee and his actual contract). The Boston guy... Matsuzaka was decent, but not worth his price IMO. Japanese position players are great though, both Ichiro and Hideki Matsui were great ballplayers IMO.

Ho-boy. The Red Sox look like SHIT!
Two straight terrible outings by our starters, multiple blown leads and runs given up by the bullpen, and the offense was shut-out last night. The result? Two walk-off losses and an 0-3 record! I have faith that the starters will straighten out some, but I'm WORRIED about that bullpen. EDIT: Vicente Padilla did look pretty darn good today though...
