Was it a Joe seller? If so, I can guess the ebay account name. There is a guy on ebay selling Joes all the time for twice as much as Im asking for mine. His arent as nice and the shipping is more. How can he get $50+ for a Joe that Ive got listed @ $25 OBO and that sells regularly for under $30? It doesnt add up.

A seller's rep has a lot to do with them getting better prices than you on a regular basis. If they continuously have good stuff, people are willing to pay the premium knowing they are going to receive quality items.

These stories are why I never try to sell on ebay, I cant afford to loose on a custom I spent hours and days on and have some Jackass Rip me off or say he never received it or it was damaged so he can get ebay to make me refund them, I'm storing them up for the next San Jose Toy Show and see how I fare there first, if it doesn't work out then go to ebay I guess.

I just re-listed a few things, but all the black ones sold. I may do them again someday. Depends on how much Snake Traxxx are going for.

These reasons along with buyers claiming they never received their items even after there is delivery confirmation are among the few reasons I don't list items for sale on Ebay. I use a buddy to sell and ship all my items, so I don't have to worry about it.
He just takes a percentage of the sale. |

Second chance offers are usually sent out for one of three reasons:
1. seller has more than one of the same item and hopes to make nearly as much on the second (or subsequent) item as he/she did on the first 2. seller had a non-paying bidder 3. seller is shill-bidding his/her own auction I usually don't partake in second chance offers due to the possibility of the third reason, and I have found that most buyers generally ignore second-chance offers that I send out, probably for the same reason. I don't take offense. It's the offer-acceptance principle. I offer, you don't accept, no deal, no problem. Not much you can do about non-paying bidders except give them the strike and relist your item. If they do it a couple of more times eBay gets rid of them. |

I dont "buy" that. There cant be that many people willing to overbid on stuff REGULARLY simply because of a rep. Ive got 12 years on ebay with 450 individual feedbacks and ALL are positive. When Ive got something for $25 (the going rate) and a seller is REGULARLY getting $10-$25 or MORE bucks than every single other seller in the world, something smells fishy.

And yet I have never bought from you. There are a handful of sellers out there that have that rep and get better prices because of it.
Wheeljackslab comes to mind when thinking Transformers. People who deal with him know they are getting a good deal, accurately described and very little hassle. I've seen it time and time and time again. DCsportscards is another Joe seller. You know you are getting quality. Hightensportshack is another. Why do you think people can remember their names? In all my years on Ebay, I've never dealt with you and I've been on there since 1999. A person's reputation proceeds them. If I were them, I would take offense to your statement that "something fishy" is going on. Ebay is a weird ass thing. I can tell this story now since I have already completed the transaction but I bought a bunch of Transformers from a seller about two weeks ago. I got COMPLETE: Scattershot x2 for $30 Skylinx for $15 Jazz for $10 Thundercracker for $10 Dirge $10 Thrust-$10 Kup-$5 Blaster (gun broken)-$10 Snarl (missing missle) for $10 Bombshell and Kickback (Bombshell had a broken leg) for $5 They all had their instruction manual and were on good shape. I sold Thrust and Scattershot for what I paid for the entire lot PLUS shipping and I still stand to make a few more dollars. My point: Just because you are selling the same thing as another seller for that price doesn't mean it's going to sell. And just because they paid more for it when they could have gotten less from you means that something is "going on." That's just an ignorant statement to make with no proof and sounds more like sour grapes. Someone could have gotten a Thrust that was complete and in far better condition but decided to go my route. Who knows why. So does that mean something "fishy" is going on or does that mean I have a good reputation and that I have alot of repeat buyers. IDK dude-sometimes I think you speak before you think.
