I thought it was pretty good, I thought the rabies thing was kind of weak, but that freak at the end in the tighty whities was creepy

Thanks for the run down. I can't stand scary movies but I'm always curious about them based on the commercials. I know I'll never see this movie but it was cool to know what the story was and what you thought of it.

This movie -was- ass.
Rabies? Come on. Doomsday cult? Wow... did M. Night Shamalamadingdong make this pile of ass or what? I mean come on. And then... it just ends? Weaksauce. This movie doesn't even deserve a letter grade, its so awful.

no but a pointless plot twist in a horrible movie just makes it worse. The rabies thing isnt too bad, i think putting plausable things like that in real life situations is pretty cool. What bugged me was all the stupid cliche B.S. Its like there was no thought into this movie at all. Like they picked up a "horror movies for dummies" book and added all the stupidest crap and then made a lame pointless twist. My beef wasnt the acting, or the cast, or the zombies, or anything like that. IMO the cliche crap took away from what could have been a good movie. Yelling, screaming, sensless panic, and obvious mistakes just upset me and ruin the movie for me. Will everyone agree with me? no! but this is just my opinion. And anyone who is bothered by the stuff that i mentioned i would urge you not to see it. If you dont care what you spend you money on, and you like mindless horror movies that are really bad then i urge you to go see it. lol

What did you expect from this? It's post 2000. Hollywood has pretty much lost any and all creativity :p I mean come on... they re-made Roger Corman's Deathrace 2000! Talk about out of ideas. A REMAKE OF A ROGER CORMAN MOVIE!! He may be a mainstay of sci-fi... but most of his stuff... once you get past the scocio-economic and political commentary... is pretty bad. Of course I enjoyed Death Race for what it was... an action only remake. I went in expecting mediocre acting, a near non-existent plot, and great racing and violent deaths. I got exactly what I wanted and enjoyed the hell out of it.
As for Quarantine... I expected a re-hashed plot, mediocre acting, and zombies (or zombie-like things) eating people. I got exactly what I expected and enjoyed it. It was fun to see 'Judith' from 2-1/2 Men get eaten. The only problem I had was the incredible lack of explanation. I like to get a little more story or a little more resolution. Seeing the 'doomsday cult' and 'armageddon virus' news clippings just wasn't enough for me. The CDC agent’s explanation was nice... but I could have gone for a little more resolution before the reporters finally bite it before the credits role. I suppose this just gives us an 'in' to a possible sequel... though the zombie plague thing has been done to death as of the last few years. I'd recommend not going into a movie with high expectations (especially these days). If you think it might stink... but you still really want to see it, go in with lower expectations and looking for what you want, and you'll enjoy it more. Zombies running amok eating people... always a plus in my book. |

You know what. It's way closer to a resident evil movie than the resident evil movie was. It's really scary it gets a B+ in my book
