Liberals "feel", Conservatives "think" that is the difference.
The problems in the Middle East have nothing to do with oil it's religion. Muslims HATE Isreal, it's a holy war that has been going on for Thousands of years and the US just can't understand that. We have to get involved there to try to keep the peace HAVE TO because SUPRISE the environmetalist whackos have blocked us from drilling for years and they haven't let us build a new refinery since the late 70's!!!! You know there are somewhere around 200 million registered vehicles from what I have researched in just the USA right now? Good luck getting those people to all buy a hybrid pos car. The power that be have already screwed us with this E10 gas crap which when I tested on my car a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder dropped my gas mileage almost 15%!!! it also raises the price of food as farmers switch to growing corn to get ethanol so other crops are less. We're married to oil for a long long time, get used to it. Now the environment, i don't want to get into it too much and conservation is always good but the whole Global Warming theory, well suffice it to say I am not drinking that kool-aide but you're welcome to it. These "scientists" are making billions off this, it is BIG business and lots of people have jobs because of it. The BBC did a great special on the GW Scam and I think it's a huge scam. The climate shifts, pure and simple. It's one thing to conserve and be responsible but it's a whole nother thing to go completley nuts about it. We're in the financial mess we are in now because of these "liberal" views and their nutjob ideals. An example of the nutjobs would be the head of PETA sending a letter to Ben and Jerry's to use human breast milk in their ice cream instead of cow milk because they are "stealing" from the cows!!! HAHAHA!!! morons....

HAHAHA!!! morons.... I consider myself pretty liberal, but not far left. I still think for myself. The whole thing about PETA saying B&Js should use breast milk is crazy. I've read that if cows aren't milked the utter will set (harden) and actually cause the cow to be in pain. How do they believe that is ethical treatment? Some also say that we shouldn't drink milk at all, but as long as I remember that has been a basic necessity to keep one healthy. Some have to get by without because they are lactose intolerant, but everyone else shouldn't be forced to go without just to appease PETA. I also wonder where PETA thinks a large company like that would find enough women to produce milk for them. Wouldn't this just lead to the same harsh treatment PETA believes cows get when milked? Why would it be better to put a person through that? They must also forget that humans are technically animals too. I agree that ethanol isn't really a suitable replacement for the gas we currently use to run our vehicles. That's just trading one problem for other, possibly more serious problems. We can't produce enough food to feed everyone who is starving, so now some people want to take some of the food (corn) we can produce and use it to power our cars & trucks? That's just asinine. People want a quick & easy answer to both protecting the environment and supplying the world with the power we need. The problem is there is no simple solution to either of these issues, let alone something that will solve both. |
