I have seen the new Hasbro SHIELD Helicarrier and it looks great for Heroclix and MicroMachines, but I just dont see it for the 3 3/4 line.
Which begs the question, what would have worked if it was designed for the 3 3/4 scale, how big could we possibly get it? Ive always been a fan of the Helicarrier but looking at what's coming, I felt let down, at least the USS FLAGG could fit 2 sky strikers. I know some of us have space issues, but Im wondering what would have worked? Inflatable zeppelin bottom with flat rubber deck on top? A shelf playset that is designed to work in conjunction with a shelf to give it the appearance of off the ground, as well as off the floor? Hot Wheels is experimenting with this with some 3M adhesives for putting up tracks on a wall, Only reason I mention the shelf, is because of weight issues-toy aircraft are heavier. A fold out deck with a fold out hull, think of a large version of those triangular column poster shipping boxes, but think of it as bigger and wider with clip on engines and an attatchable superstructure with pre applied design to flight deck and sides of the helicarrier hull. Even with 2x2 foot tiles, the top could be 2 feet wide and 6 feet long. Just big enough to have more than a few of those Avenger Quinjets, Stark tek and justice jet fighters, this could easliy could be used for GI JOE as well. Jonathan Hamm's Photos | Facebook I did a few more sketches and made the engines thin and rectangular, they would keep the helicarrier upright and keep it stable. |

I think it looks awesome and I can't wait to get it. I am going to play the heck out of it when I do.

I do have to say, the Avengers Quinjet is looking alot more like it belongs in the Joeverse than in Marvel. It looks like it has troop carrying capacity albeit small but even if its cargo, its got a hatch in the back. the VTOL fans pop out from the sides and become part of the wing. I heard the price was 35 bucks on this thing, its a maybe in my book for now. I definately like the thought of a Halo Pelican looking craft added onto my USS FLAGG. It wouldnt be the worst jet in the world.
