I went to this store called Heroes and they charge $5 admission for the privilege to enter his store. WTF! The store has a gimmick. It has a small exotic animal zoo inside. I was taken aback by the admission fee and left. Is this what it takes for a comic store to survive these days. Admission fees and dumb gimmicks.
The store looked bright and clean. I didn't see or smell any animals. Which is a good thing. But I think it's going to stink like a barn someday. It's previous location only had a reptile pit and was fee of charge. Nobody shopped there. I don't know how they can survive here. Heroes in Vaughan | Vaughan Today |

You should look into a season pass.
But honestly, statistics prove that when a patron pays an admission fee they are far more likely to make a purchase. Not sure that will bode well with the collecting community for a small comic store operation, but hey, what do I know? |

Stores are not allowed to charge fees to enter, that is why they make ya buy something or leave.

Maybe they figure you're coming in to just read comics without buying?

Perhaps you are paying for the privilege of being in the company of the gentlemen that work there. The guys that own and work at comic shops are always super cool, charismatic guys. The fee is probably to keep out all the girls that just want to come in to flirt with them.

lol comic and toy collectors are pretty anal and pretty cheap. So paying five bucks to check out comics that smell like animals is just a dandy idea.
