Ole Mikey boy there is the one that should be getting most of the hate that going torwards JoePa now. That dipshit, first he just watched and did nothing. Then he reported it to Joe after it had happened, instead of I dunno...calling the freaking police right then or just grabbing some random blunt item laying around and taking care of it then and there.
I love how the e-mails so conviently put so much blame on Joe. E-mail is so damned easy to fake, it isn't funny. I use to work at a place where they made us fake old e-mails to cover thier asses when shit went wrong. Anything eletronic should be disreguarded as proof. It is entirely too easy to fake and nearly impossible to prove it wasn't. (if done correctly) The board handled it like a "good ole boys" club. If they really want to fix things there, they need to fire the entire board and anyone else that had anything to do with it. He did report it to the "police" aka Campus Security. |

If he was still alive, still Coach and refused to step down, then yes. Fire Him, Mikey and any of the rest of the coaching staff that was there at the time and had knowledge of it when it happened. Between that and purgeing the school board it would be the only way to truely start to clean up this whole mess I think.

the players don't give a shit about vacating wins, the coaches are the ones who care about their overall record, specifically paterno and his all time wins record. they took them away so he wouldn't be the winningest coach of all time anymore.

If the players don't give a shit, then the entire point of you and everyone else pretending they give a damn about the outcome becomes totally meaningless. So, if the players don't give a shit, then why the hell do you waste your time or effort watching the games or giving s shit about who comes out on top? Yeah, thats what I meant! Fuck those guys, every single one of them! Players have never been concerned with the game! You're right, it's all about the coach and the players can go fuck themselves, legally.

No. I did not miss the point. I expressed my point, which you glossed over and made an assumption. The end result is the game played on the feild. You also, given your response, totally remove the people playing the game from the victory or loss. This is why it makes no sense for the people watching the games to give a damn. Why did you begin this thread with one opinion about greatness and then suddenly change it given the nature of the behavior of those in charge of the team? Unless you think that Joe Quaterback was holding the back of the head of that kid in the locker room shower down, then why should it affect the quaterback on the field? If taking it away from the players doesn't mean a damn thing, then why take it away from the coaches when it won't mean a damn thing? It's just peddle-slapping stupidity for the fans who want to pretend they didn't spend the last decade or more supporting a coach and group that would do such a thing, knowingly or not. So, if the record books can be surreptitiously changed to reflect there here and now -unless other records have been made or broken by the juice of raped babies- why the hell does the sitting on their ass, doing nothing to contribute to the game, public give one or two shits about the outcome of a game your asses are not now and never, EVER will participate in?
I understand slaming Penn State and slamming the guys in charge of the club while all this was happening, but I don't understand the notion of passing down a judgement that both punishes and absolves the players. Sure, go elsewhere, no questions asked, but anything you've done before is removed because you worked for a baby-fucking asshole. No. I understand that a player is measured by results in the here and now. It's a wet dream for someone who thinks that the private sector model should be applied to every single aspect of life. (<) It's rightfully harsh, but also seems overly harsh to people who did nothing wrong. To me, it sounds like someone on the council was not only outraged by the institutionalized cover up, but also a real hater of the entire club. If it sounds to you like I'm defending something I'm not, perhaps you missed the point. I'm not even a dog with a bone in this argument and it seems a bit harsh to those who weren't involved. It's my understanding that Charles Manson could jump 74 feet into the air. Sadly the recorded holder is FDR, who could only jump 17 feet into the air. Last edited by Cody; 07-27-2012 at 11:31 PM.. |
