A thread for us Moto-Vipers.
Sport Bikes, Cruisers, Dirt, Dual Sport....hell mopeds. Do you ride? Did you? All things 2 wheeled related (hell throw the RAM and Silver Mirage in here if you want!) I havent ridden in a few years and MX was always a passion of mine. In my early-mid 20's it was easier because I was working as a tech for Honda. Then dirtbikes just got to be a pain in the ass. A night's worth of prep work for 2-3 hrs of riding a week and it took me an hr to get there. I transitioned and putted around on an old FZR for awhile while dreaming of a Ducati. Today (weather prevailing) I'm gonna head down to Port Imperial and taking the ferry into NYC where I'm going to the Int'l Motorcycle Show to meet with my salesman who is representing Ducati USA and go over some numbers. Not saying it's def, but we're close. Either way I'm riding by Spring. Embrace your inner Dreadnok and twist the throttle in this thread. |

Jesus, that was this weekend? I used to go to that every year just to look around at all the amazing bikes and sick concepts. Good times.
I do not ride, but it is an interest of mine from a technical standpoint. I used to work on and study our teachers bike in the auto shop in high school...and I've been interested ever since.

i get made fun of slightly for this but my favorite bike i have owned was my 1984 honda magna v700. that was one comfortable and reliable bike. I miss it :(
I missed our long rides during the sun set together, our trips over the mountains to reno, how it liked my stroking of its throttle..... it was a great bike. I bought it shiny chrome and new saddle bags and in return it treated me well.

Just got back from the Javitz Center...aside from having to walk back to Port Imperial with wind that felt like razorblades it was f'ing awesome.
I'm very much in the market for a Ducati so the 3hrs I spent there...2 of which were at the Duc area. I pretty much wanna marry the 848, I couldnt believe how tight it felt just sitting there, the egros were incredible, it literally felt fast standing still. The Monster which is probably gonna be more up my alley due to the price tag was gorgeous and I loved it as well. I will say the seating postion is a bit different than I thought, the bars are just wider out, I know it's a "street fighter" and all but it just feels like a pain in the ass on turns. After watching some video and pretty much getting laughed at by the Ducati reps when I said "looks like a pain in the ass around curves" I guess I'll have to ride em both. I'll post some pics, they actually had a Light Cycle from Tron Legacy there which was awesome and the Trials show was incredible...those riders were insane. |

This is my ride - minus the black out muffler and substitute a sweet sounding Vance and Hines muffler.

i was thinking of getting a big wheel for nostalgia reasons, but i'm trying to win a harley from marlboro.. i rather have a chopper, but i will never afford one, and i'm not a harley fan, but this bike is nice looking, if i was to win it, i think i would keep it, if not, i would sell it. i rather win the challenger, mustang or jeep, though.
