As an occasional eBay seller/buyer, I have always wondered why people sometimes charge exorbitant prices for an item that can be purchased far cheaper on the SAME SITE?
*NONE OF THESE ARE MY AUCTIONS* EXAMPLE: you want to sell your MOC 25th Anniversary Cobra HISS Driver so you put up an ad: GI Joe HISS 2008 COBRA H.I.S.S. DRIVER MOC | eBay Then you see an ad like this: 2008 GI JOE 25th Anniversary HISS Driver MOC | eBay The feedback ratings are both perfectly acceptable, and to be honest, with the buyer protection policy, there is really zero risk anymore. I know the prices are NOT much of a difference at all. The first auction is gonna cost you $21 bucks. The second's gonna cost you $11. I mean, which figure has a better chance of selling with a ten dollar difference? In this day and age, $10 could mean a whole nother figure! I know no one cares about a HISS Driver, but I just pulled up a figure at random. I have seen extreme examples of this with many toys, sometimes ranging $50 in price. Occasionally, you will see a wack job offering you common figures for prices in the hundreds! I have often considered emailing them and asking them what meds they're on. Do any of you ever witness things like this?

Some may do it as a place holder. They may not fully understand or may not care about listing and just wanted to put it up to edit later and if they get a sale its a bonus.
