Unfortunately, Headman, as we all know by this point, Transfans are by and large completely insane. Unlike Joe fans. ;D
I'm lucky in that I don't sell much. A few items here and there (mostly depending on when I get formula coupons, heh), plus a few toys now and again. So I'm a penny ante operator.

Most of my problems come from Transformers collectors. Either they want a million extra pics of every inch of the toy or they turn out to be a shake down artist and make up a bunch of BS after they get the item. Or they don't pay at all. I'm not saying most transactions are like this, but I've had enough of them in my short selling career to put me on edge.
"I'm not an expert on this item, what you see is what you get" the only problem I've ever had was shipping charges. Sometimes I'd end up over charging....if its little bit like a dollar or 2 off, I'm like whatever... but if I over charge by 10 or more, I refund some of the difference. Its always good to be honest with dollhouse enthusiasts.

1. As a seller, I agree with Headman that I no longer leave feedback until it's left for me.
2. I've noticed that with other collectibles (namely shoes), if someone who buys from me gets a really great deal on the item, they won't leave feedback so the transaction doesn't get 'recorded' on their feedback and they can resell the item. Seen it a few times on rare Air Max 90s. (And yes, I know you can find it on completed listings.) 3. To the sellers out there, what's the percentage of deadbeats who win the auction or put in a 'best offer' and don't pay? I think this month, I've sold about 20 items and 4 of them haven't paid up and haven't answered emails. One just told me that he wouldn't pay up because it got it elsewhere for cheaper. So basically 20% of my sales went deadbeat. 4. Another ebay aggravation: The guys who win the auction/listing and then tell you that "Oh, I had this happen so I can only afford ($30 dollars less than what they purchased it for)...are you willing to work with me? Bah. Why did you hit buy it now then?! |
