Announcer (Rogan I think): "Brock Lesnar becomes the 19th fighter in UFC history to fight for a title with less than 10 fights, Only 3 of those men have been victorious. 3 of the first 18. Mark Coleman, Frank Mir, and ironically Randy "The Natural" Couture." So that argument is blown out of the water.

Im curious to see Brock fight Fedor or someone like Jeff Monson who would give him hell on the ground. Not taking anything away from Brock, looks to have a bright future, but I still think Fedor is the man at Heavyweight. Any word of how Bobby Ashley is doing im MMA?

Lucky shot! I can't believe he won. Oh well, whichever way it was that he won he did.

Watch just before Lesnar gets in the Octagon.

It's not like the guy's never been in any kind of real competition. He's got really good instincts and physically outmatches anyone UFC can put against him. His only potential weaknesses are "green-ness" (see the Mir fight) and conditioning. During his NFL tryouts, he ran a 4.7 40 yd dash, had a 35" vert, benched 475 and squatted 695. There's no way this guy, at this size, with his strength and pure wrestling ability should lose to anyone. His only opponent is his head.
There was a point in the fight where he looked like he was sick of trying to preserve energy or try to wear Randy out and just muscled himself out of a hold with ease. He was able to hold Randy off with ease when he wanted to. It'll be interesting to see how he does against someone who uses a variety of kicks, to see if he takes one to the dome or turns it into a leg-lock. |

Lesnar won an NCAA Wrestling Championship, and finished second the year before he won (losing to Patriots guard Stephen Neal). He had a career collegiate record of something like 108-5.
Why are people surprised? Because he went for the cash grab in the WWE out of college instead of MMA? And honestly... I think even Frank Mir would admit he was lucky as hell he won that first fight. What did he really do other than get lucky that Brock knocked him on his ass and just stood there like a dope? The scary part is going to be when Lesnar figures it all out. The dude is a legit monster and fast as hell for a guy that size. And who can blame him for being cocky and arrogant? He's a bad MFer. All there is to it. Dude has lost 6 fights out of about 120, and if you go back to high school, he's probably still only lost 6 fights out of about 200...

Brock should prove to be a major force unlike Kimbo slice who elite xc gave him the second fight because he was going to lose and then got knocked out in his third fight.
Yeah Money-B i meant Lashley. Looked up Lashley and has a contract with American figh league for two fights and is scheduled for a December MMA debut. Hes just as much as a monster in size and strenght as Lesner. |

Hes just as much as a monster in size and strenght as Lesner. Should be interesting. Lashley was an accomplished wrestler, but on the NAIA level. Hardly D1 NCAA. He's sickly huge, but I don't know if he's got it in him to mount a guy and just pound away on his face. I don't see him being as successful as Lesnar right away, but in a couple of years a showdown would be fun for all us wrestling fans. Kimbo should go on the Ultimate Fighter. It'd be great for the show and great real MMA experience for him. I'd watch it if he was on, but only if his hype man was there all the time yelling. Can you see it now? "Yeah Ferg, eat the fuck out of that cereal, Ferg!" "Fuck that laundry up, Ferg! Clean the shit out of your dirty clothes!" |

Rukus and Darth bring up some good points...but i would really love to see Lesnar meet Fedor in a ring or the Octagon.
One it would be a real test for Lesnar and Fedor, two it would be a cash cow for Dana... |
