One would assume that as soon as Sarah Connor was born that the timeline was set. Sarah, John, and Kyle are essentially a holding pattern for the human race. You will never stop SKYNET from nuking the planet, but you will never eliminate John Connor.
And to hell with T3, and as much as I enjoyed it, I dont consider Sarah Connor Chronicles to be canon either. You do not delay the inevitable. |

If you think that's rough is anyone reading the Dynamite comic "Robocop Vs Terminator: KillHuman"?
Because I'll tell ya what, it's cool but wtf!?......Ok so, you have the 2 last human beings on earth running from terminators, then Robocop who is in a skynet "museum" gets free and goes back in time to stop this. Robocop lands right at T2 where the T800 is using non-lethal force against LAPD.....and takes the T800 out, this is where Sarah Conner freaks out on Robo. Robocop knows the distant future and that "there are no good Terminators" the only choice is to go back and wipe them all out. So.....he does, and with time travel he warns Dick Jones of all the BS that's going to happen to him and OCP in the future..so basically he goes back, meets a young Dick Jones who fixes the ED-209 problem before it happens, keeps them at Robocop's disposal and stops T2 from happening. And now I'm waiting for what I hope is the last issue......because that shit is ridiculous. |

Heres a question,
are the shades Arnold wears in the movie the same as Clint Eastwood's in Sudden Impact? |

Anyone remember the mini-series that ends with Sarah giving birth, but instead of John Conner popping out she has a girl? Mind f***! |

The T timeline is messy at best if you just follow 1-4.
I mean... -1 has the already mentioned Kyle Time Loop Issue. -2's ending has the problem of if they destroyed all of the chips then the future never happens. -3 actually cleans up the ending of 2 and at while a little lackluster at least plausably brings the franchise full circle. -4 is a cluster f...it makes no sense at all, mainly because its completely differant than the future shown in the previous films...I think that might have been explained in whatever films followed (if any do) but the last film bombed so bad I wouldn't be suprised to see whatever plan they had dropped, or completely altered. As for Sarah Conner Chronicles...it was actually a pretty good show granted it is a sort of alt timeline but I really wanted to see where they were going, and how it finished. As for any comics...who knows clearly anything not on film is not cannon, but fun alt time lines. Oh I might add that the T2 ride in FL added yet a third timeline split from the after events of T2. |

I've thought about it a lot, and here's my theory:
In the first act of the first film, Sarah is getting ready to go out on a date with some Porsche-driving fellow. Then she checks the messages and he cancels. My theory is that this guy was a claims adjuster for some insurance company that has to end up working late because these jerks from the future showed up and started breaking and entering and stealing cars, etc. I'm pretty sure he was to be John's father, but that gets tossed out the window when Kyle and the Terminator show up. However, the universe needed John when it needed him, so Kyle became the father. Of course, it's just a dumb theory I have that's completely tossed out the window. I recently rewatched the first film and noticed a little throwaway line that in the future John gave Kyle that picture and Kyle had no idea why at the time. |
