Not sure if this belongs here, but I need some advice. I bought a Lego minifig from a guy in California on 10/7, and according to the tracking #, he sent it on 10/11. It was estimated to arrive by 10/14. When I look at the tracking #, it still hasn't left CA, apparently. So I'm wondering if it's somehow gotten lost in the vast wasteland that is our US Post Office. I had a similar incident happen when I sold a figure online and the guy never got it, so I gave him a full refund. Should I ask for a refund? I was always under the impression that it's basically the seller's responsibility to make sure it gets there. Thoughts?

Also, my dad is now a retired postal worker so I know first hand how slow that shit can be

You have 45 days to put up a dispute. At least give it 30. Your money is guaranteed by ebay should it not get there. If USPS screwed up the order, don't ding the seller for something he had no control over.

Like I said, I refunded someone their $ when they said they didn't get an item after awhile, and I foolishly didn't supply a tracking number. I'm the type of guy that would pay for the item if I'd already gotten a refund but it eventually came in, although I know the seller can't know that for certain. I'm just trying to figure out what to do, but I don't mind to wait a little longer and give it at least 30 days.

Depends what he sent it in if it got damaged it would be re-directed back to him possibly. I'd use 30 days as a guide to dispute it.

Just send an email asking whats going on in a nice, polite way. Dont demand or accuse him of anything. Just try and find out whats up.

if seller shipped it and theres tracking,its out of their hands.is it insured?i never let anything leave my possesion without tracking and insurance.
i once had a similar situation,package to florida started going westward for pa,not south.i think it was rerouted about day 2 or 3,halfway across the country and wound up in fla 2 days after.
