Hey,
I haven't run into this yet in my limited Ebay interection. I was wondering if someone could answer this. My wife is selling some stuff on Ebay, and the person paid yet I cannot accept the payment unless I upgrade to a premier account. I read and it says I need to pay a fee because this person is paying with a credit card to my Paypal account. Now my wife stated "Paypal only" so I guess this could be misunderstood as "you pay our paypal anyway you want?" I am also being told I cannot accept the payment unless I upgrade to premier status. I looked for the fees on the site buty it only gives me the fee of the actual transaction I am trying to do. Are there annual fees for being a premier account or will I only pay everytime someone uses a credit card? Are there risks? shoulod I ask the person to choose a different payment method? and last, should I just upgrade to a premier seeing as this may happen again? Is it free? *****this is a question about Paypal membership, not Ebay...sorry Thanks for the help! =COBRACOFFEE

You probably only have a personal account (buying only) and you need to upgrade to Premier (buying and selling). I have a premier account but didnt pay any additional charges.
The person buying your items can pay through credit card, funds in his/her paypal account or gift cards. |

I have already sold a number of things to people through Ebay and personal (here on Hisstank) and have never been asked to upgrade to recieve payment.
Why is it not automatically going through and forcing me to accept a premeir upgrade to get my funds. Also, I noticed that if I upgrade I will then have to pay a "per transaction fee" everytime from now one that I would not normally pay with my current Personal Paypal. Any thoughts?

if the buyer pays by credit card there is an additional fee that you "the seller" pays for instead of the buyer. I think thats crap.
you need a premier account to accept payments from ebay buyers that pay via credit card and E-checks If they just do a funds transfer between accounts, or pay using a bank account then a "personal" account is all you need. |

Then how did I recieve payments for Figures I sold on Ebay already through Paypal? Did they just send it outside of Ebay? or what? Is this fiasco happening because the buyers is chosing to pay paypal using a Ebay portal to it?

Pay Pal is no pal of mine. They should just have a set rate for each transaction instead of a percentage. For how many people use it a .20 or .30 cent charge would add up quick and be worth a seller using their service. I too was forced into the premium account. The response I got was they need to make their money too. I think they have more customers than I could even think of generating. Oh well, everyone has to get theirs I guess.

if they have funds in their paypal account aldread and transfer it directly to you, or they transfer funds from their bank account then you can use a "personal" account as far as i know. Anything that has to do with credit card purchased requires a "premier" account

They sure do, but I wanted to talk to real live friendly people right here on Hisstank. Besides, you never know.. I may be asking a question others may be wondering about.
