It's almost Halloween!!!!
What are your favorite horror films? Classic? Modern? TV shows? Horror inspired comic books? Action figures etc. What was you best Halloween costume or good trick or treating memory? Why are you not catching a buzz and watching old episodes of Night Gallery with me right now? Discuss. |

I'm pretty classic minded so I stick mostly to Universal and Hammer. I do like some of the Giallo stuff By Fulci and Bava.
Black Sabbath, Curse of The Werewolf, Creature FTB Lagoon, and Lee's Dracula come to mind.

Bava for me: "Mask of Satan", "Three Faces of Fear" and "Planet of the Vampires" rate highly in my book. But, I do like most European horrors from the 60's and 70's. The "Blind Dead" series is high on my list, and "Castle of Blood" is a wonderful Antonio Margheritti black & white dripping in atmosphere. My DVD shelf is bending under the weight of films from that era - Must be close to 500 now.
Hammer horrors, especially the 'lesser' ones such as "Plague of the Zombies" and "X the Unknown" are brilliant too. I can't really think of a TV series that does it for me - 1970's DR WHO, when it was at it's most 'gothic', scared the shite out of me at the time, but then I was only five years old.
