I am going to be in Kansas on a business trip next week. Wanted to know if any Tanker's knew of a few good places to blow off steam, chill, whatever other than sitting in a hotel.

I will be in Wichita staying at the Wichita Heights hotel off of E. 53rd St. and Old Lawrence Rd.

No clue where either of those things are, I have nice little maps and hope they have my rental car right this time. LOL

May hunt down the Black Helmet Destro while i'm there.... unless this is one of those area's that suffers from EPS (Empty Peg Syndrome.

Any insight as what to do in this town would be appreciated.

Kansas City is where all the fun is. Lawrence is good college party town. Dont know about wichita

I would suggest the old town area. There are several bars and restaurants down there as well as the Warren Theatre. They also have a minor league baseball team and a pretty good zoo but it will be close to 100 this week. And this is not Arizona, we have humidity with our 100's. Finding joes can be tricky. Two TRU, one both on Kellog on opposite ends of town. Several targets and Wal-marts. I have had the best luck at the North Rock Wal-mart. Problem you run into is there is McConell AFB so plenty of collectors.

Got back from Kansas tonight. Those who have messaged me, I will write back tomorrow after I get some sleep.

Well the state was very good to me with joes. Within the first 2 nights there, I managed to pick up 9 Bats, 5 Serpents(there were more, but needed to save room in my bags) and to top everything off for my week. Thurs. night I found 2 Black Head Destro CP's.

so all in all and despite being there for work and not being able to do much of anything else. At least my Joe hunt was very successful.

But in the end.. there is no place like home. LOL

Wow, nice score! I used to live in Lawrence (over 10 years ago) and I really liked it there. I don't know much about the rest of the state, except where to find some fossils out in the western part.
