A folded up heating blanket on the side that hurts most helps a LOT. I had a double ear infection earlier this year, that STARTED from a sinus infection. Actually almost lost the ability to even hear out of my left ear and the doctor told me if I had waited another day or two, my eardrum would have ruptured. So yeah, other that anti-biotics and prescribed dosages of ibuprofen, not a lot you can do.
BTW, where the hell have you been man?!? I haven't seen you in FOREVER! |

im not suggesting this........... BUT,
my wifey has HORRIBLE ears, is almost 50% deaf, she has the medicated ear drops, and does the heat blanket.. she has had another bad ear infection all week. she was told to use hydrogen peroxcide ''rinse'' just like you do your eardrops.... just turn and let it drain out after about 10 seconds its totally gross, you can watch the bubbles come out of her ear canal, and she doesnt look comfortable doing it

I used to get ear infections ALL the time as a kid, and I'm still kinda susceptible to them now. So I feel your pain, man!
Other than the ear drops, those guys are right - put heat on it. Either an electric blanket or a hot-water bottle. It's really all you can do. Good luck! Last edited by Cobra Terrorist; 07-14-2011 at 08:40 PM.. |
