I'm thinking about having a raffle to give away GI Joe figures. I would sell tickets, put them in a bucket, then pick the winner. I would even record it so it would be fair. This way I can get rid of some stuff and someone could get a figure for really cheap. I was also thinking that if I raffled a figure (say Sparta) and got more than I wanted, then it would also be a50/50 style raffle. So for instance, I raffle off Sparta and get 100 bucks worth of entries. I want 75 for get, so I keep 12.50 and the winner gets 12.50 and the figure. Would this be something that Tankerds would participate in?

The reason I ask is because I plan on reviewing figures like Zarana and such in the future. So rather than open them and hold onto them, a raffle could put them in people's hands who don't want to drop so much on a figure, or those who want a loose one at a fair price.

I like the idea. But not sure how it would work with paypal fees.

Be careful because I would think holding raffles online can be a tricky thing depending on your state laws, etc. It's one thing to do it locally with people you know. Kind of like a weekly poker game among friends that stays under the radar. But, it may be a different ball of wax when it's public and online.
