Wow, every now and then another ebay seller completely blows my mind by their incompetence.
It's bad enough when you go to Wendy's at lunch and order a salad and they don't give you a fork. Or when your order a frosty, but they don't give you a spoon. This is forgivable because most of the time they have high school kids working who would rather be anywhere else then at work. But some ebay sellers who are doing this as their "business" would most likely Fail if they had a brick and mortar store. I won some MOC figures and just received them in the mail. I opened them up today on Father's Day and what a Huge Disappointment. 2 different ebay sellers shipped a MOC c-9 figure in a F'N Scotch envelope. Are you flipping kidding me!!! How does this make any sense what so ever. Would you ship a painting in a shipping envelope?? Wow, the lack of care and respect for someone else's item blows my mind. I am sitting hear looking at these two action figures which look like the post man just dropped his 60lb mail bag on top of. PLEASE for the sake of sanity to ALL ebay sellers: If someone took time to bid on your auction and won a MOC figure, DO NOT ship it in a mailer envelope. I still can't believe how someone thought this would be okay. EPIC FAIL!!!! |

That definitely sucks, C80. To play Devil's Advocate though, sometimes buyers actually ask sellers to ship via the cheapest/most cost effective way possible, which would indeed be a bubble mailer.
Even when I do ship this way, I wrap whatever it is being shipped in bubble wrap before placing it in the mailer in hopes that enough cushion will be present to avoid any kind of damage to the piece being shipped. I've actually been told that I "pack stuff too well". lol Either way man, sorry about the crushed pieces. Do you mind if I ask what it was that you purchased? How bad is the damage? |

Not to twist the knife but if you get a chance, post some pics I'd love to see this.
It happens man, you hit the nail on the head with the brick and mortar statement. If I ever went into a store and brought something up that reeked like cigarette smoke, was damaged or just not what I was planning on spending money on...I wouldnt. Most times I've been pretty happy with purchases online, but there are a few that made me go ape shit. |

This is my biggest pet hate.
I bought an original Star Trek Movie figure MOSC perfect and the seller posted it a jiffy envelope. To get through the letter box the postman folded it several times and sawed it back and forth till it fit. The ebay seller didnt want to know and the Post office let me waste my time filing a complaint to say it must have been posted in that condition, case closed. I know waste my time each time I buy a MOSC item asking if they could post it in a box to avoid damage. Most good sellers reply they would anyway, but Ive had a few kick off about the costs. Surely its in their interest for it to arrive in good condition? Who is that stupid? |
