So last week me and the girlfriend went shopping and hit BJ's. While there I saw a GIANT cannister of Tang. So I figured wth, I hadn't had Tang since the early 80's, so why not? Just had the first glass with dinner tonight. DAMN, it's still AWESOME!!! Apparently there are tons of flavors, and it's still popular elsewhere in the world. Who knew? Just thought I'd share. Anyone still drinking Tang?

I like poon flavored one. Well unless it smells weird, then I just flat out stay away.
Didn't they have the poon one in space?? |

Yeah, its almost the only thing I drink. Only problem is, they have changed it to use an artificial sweetener. When they did it I went CRAZY and boycotted it for a couple years. Now they are using a different one and it tastes much better. I go through 2 quarts every other day.

Giving Tang some serious thought for a moment, I never liked being over my grandmother's house as a kid. My dad's mom not my mom's parents where I practically lived. (My uncle is less than 10 yrs older than me had dirt bikes and Adventure Team Joes, why the hell wouldnt I want to be there!?) Anyway, my other grandmother's house sucked. She was right off the boat. Cold house, bad hard candy, I think she used to boil her laundry on the stove, ya know all stuff that ppl who grew up in a barn in Europe do. For whatever reason she always had Tang in the house. I don't know, I think she thought Tang was sorta like a remedy for everything. She may have thought it had magic powers. I remember drinking that Tang and thinking...God this place sucks and man this Tang is delicious! In the end all the Tang in the world couldn't keep me closer to my copper toothed, odd smelling, penny pinching relatives that lived in that house. |

I used to love that stuff when I was a kid. We didn't always buy Tang at the house, though on occasion we did, but there was frequently Tang at Sunday School...
Sadly, when I tried drinking it again as an adult, I found I didn't care for it. Maybe because of the switch to an artificial sweetener... I can't have most of those...
