I have 55 of these things and i cant even find hardly any of them on ebay to gauge what kind of money i have for them so i figured id ask the experts...
the only one with a damaged card is a little tear on crystal ball and a couple are kind of yellow. the zaranas dont have the earrings, i remember one was worth more than the other... thanks if you actually take the time to answer this for me, or if you could tell me where to look. the ones i could find on ebay had buy it now prices of a couple hundred but that doesnt really mean anything. thanks again for any info... here they all are heres closeups of them Last edited by Weezus; 04-04-2011 at 12:30 AM.. |

best thing I can tell you is to get the last issue of toyfare. And I know they quit publishing it but the last one was not long ago. It had a price guide in the back and you can take the time to go and look. It would give you a general idea of what they would be worth. Having said that the true value is what you are willing to part with it for or what somebody is willing to give you for it.

The Twins are the highest priced ones there (probably followed closely by Snake Eyes V2) I want to say they Twins are around $200-$300 but I could be wrong on that.
I've seen comic shops charge $35-$50 for Crystal Ball (he's probably the lowest valued figure of your collection) |

actually, toyfare quit putting price guides in the back a long time ago and when they did it was only for recent stuff. lee's toy review magazine might have one, or a specific issue that focused on vintage joes.

Wait a minute, am I lost here? You have 1700 posts here an youre not sure of the value of your Joes? If this is a serious post, someone already said it: Theyre worth what someone's willing to pay and youre willing to sell at. Anywhere from $20-$200 a figure Id guess after watching, buying and selling on ebay, this site and yojoe HARD for the past two and a half years.

On to value! It depends on how much work you want to do selling them. You could tackle this one of a few different ways. 1. Ebay each one individually. You will get the most money this way, but it's also the most work. You say the condition is good, but that estimation is not good enough for most people. Take good, well lit pics of each one you are listing and be honest about condition. 2. Ebay as a lot. Once again, good pics and be honest, I would say $2500 would be a decent BiN (buy it now) price. Don't forget to be upfront about shipping. As sending out 55 carded joes any way you look at it is not going to be cheap or easy 3. Sell them on the tank. Same as ebay (almost) but let your fellow tankers buy them. Most folks have paypal, and will hopefully be honest about price and needs. I would say 50$ each for most of the common ones is a decent place. The v2 SE, SS and Crimson twins are worth more. Those you should be able to use ebay as a gauge for. 4. Craigslist. Be prepared for lowballers, but you will save on shipping. 5. Get a table/booth at a local show. You may have to pay a little up front (50ish bucks for the space) But you will get cash for your toys, and the chance to haggle up close and personal with Joe Fans in your area. 6. Mail them all for free to Black Llama.......
