It's getting uncomfortably warm in the central valley, having tired of horrendous storms.
Although when I lived up in the Sierra Nevadas, we had snow in June once.

We got about 6 inches here. All the global warming types can come over and help me shovel, THEN we can talk about "global warming"!

We've had a flash ice storm in July before. Had a huge snowstorm in April years ago. Went into the grocery store on a nice, sunny day, came out to a winter wonderland.
You can't expect winter to just disappear as soon as the season is over. Winter is a bitch who lingers around longer than it needs to. On the flip side, we have had +14 degree celcius weather in December before so it goes both ways.

In Maine, the ONLY time Im SHOCKED at snow is in July. Ive seen in in every other month, and Ive seen snow on Mt. Katahdin (Appalachian Mountains) into the middle of July. We got 14" here yesterday, so you guys who are complaining about a few inches, get over it. A shovel full probably weighed 40-50 pounds and the snowblower couldnt cut the end of the driveway, so I had about 10'x26' and 6' into the driveway that was 3-4' deep. Took 2 1/2 hours to do that by hand.

Hey, I'm from Alaska and I happen to like winter time. But I do agree the snow gets tiresome after February or so. But it beats 90 degree heat and 100% humidity any day.

Worst snow I ever witnessed was in april, three feet in 24 hours on the second week of april (93 or 94 I cannot remember which of the top of my head, but it was horrible)
