Hi all
I just picked up a Tomahawk off Ebay and am in the process of cleaning/restoring it. Had a question for all you Tomahawk owners - is there a trick to sliding off/on the bottom black panel thaat contains the retractable hook? I slid it off halfway, at which point it stuck. I'm sure I could force it off but I don't want to break anything (like a tab) in the process. I owned one of these as a kid decades ago but can't remember if the panel is supposed to come off easily or not. Any help would be much appreciated! |

Mine comes out fairly easy with some pressure.

Yeah, if you got it half way, it's just a little stuck. Some force will slide it off

Maybe the wind up wheel has gotten stuck on something, normally it just slides off! there's 2 tabs that sort of hold it in to keep it in place but if it's getting stuck half way...that's odd. maybe a bit of force would do!

As long as you keep it straight coming off, you should be fine without breaking anything off
